change is in the air

Or so we believe. Our time away from home is quickly coming to a close, and we are now actively in the “prepare for departure” mode here at our Thailand retreat. We will be able to store some of our belongings with our splendid landlady, Guide, in case we again return as we have done so many times over the last 8 years. In the past we’ve stored things with Helen and John, but they’re planning to sell their house here and move to north eastern Thailand, so that isn’t possible this round.

We will fly up to Bangkok on 11 February, spend a night there and depart for Seoul and San Diego on the 12th (flying around the world and gaining back 14 hours). Two nights in San Diego with Terra, and on to Albuquerque and then the drive up to Santa Fe on the 14th. May all go smoothly, safely and uneventfully, and may our arrival home be graceful and welcoming.

So, unless something remarkably worthy of sharing occurs, this will be our final post in the Feeding The Joy blog. We sincerely thank you all for being with us, for sharing our experiences, for your interest, your comments, your appreciations and enjoyments. As I have said before here, it is for you that we produced the blog at all, and now it’s time to wrap it up as our journey approaches its conclusion.

I’m personally thrilled that this format has provided Nancy with an outlet and inspiration for her prolific creation of new and luminous haiku poems, and I truly think she has found her core poetic voice and form here. Several of you have expressed your enjoyment of and appreciation for these poems, and it will be a wonderful thing if she remains in the flow, deriving inspiration and motivation from our next new beginning back in Santa Fe.
