Haiku Special
Nancy Mitchell David, nee Nancy Delaureal Mitchell, January 10, 1953, Saint Louis, Missouri, USA, is a poet, a seeker, a rambler and a rover, a nester and a jester and a fantasy sequester(er). As if all that weren’t enough……..she’s one hell of a human being, lamb lover, and the haiku meister of this blog. So here she is in her 17 syllable magnificence, for your enjoyment and inspiration. I give you…………Nancy!
No Past no future
waxing eclipse moon rising
this heartbeat, this breath
Moody ups and downs
where does contentment take root?
Ask any flower
Chit chatty laughter,
reunion of our heart minds
in Buddha Dharma
Full moon bounty now
offering mystery light,
we share equally
Rounds of good kora
discovering deep source;
magnet for the heart
Silence; sinking deep
not the usual speed realm.
Wise flowers bloom
Found, without much hope
old illusions die slowly
pine cones whisper trees
Soft gentle word tones,
Hindi Tibetan sound mix
easy on my ears
Yes this, no that day
the bantering back and forth.
Whose haiku is this?
Plastic water here,
Pepsi runs the Asia show.
What a world we’ve made!
Ancient melodies
soothe my heart and mind today.
Listening in prayer
Stupas pull us in
mixing mantra with chit chat,
community hub
Fickle weather gods
much like the rest of the world,
unpredictable……
